GRIM002/DLSRC-0008 - Boogaloosa Prayer / Ultras S/C - Heart Struck Sorrow / Move Outta Wichita

Front cover

About the release:

This record was only sold as a pre-sale at the May 2012 Vault Party in Nashville TN.  Prior to the show the show's promoter and Grimtale Records started talks about doing an LP made up of all the bands that played that weekend at the show.  Ultimately, most of these bands had contracts or commitments to other bands but Danger Limited & Ben Swank (Ultras S/C & Third Man Records) agreed to submit songs for the release.  They weren't live songs from the show as originally intended but the label was excited either way.  Turns out the Ultras S/C didn't have any studio recordings so they literally built a studio to record a few songs.  Four songs were recorded, two put on a CASS Records release, one on here and one remains unused.  The Boogaloosa Prayer song came from a previous CD release of theirs.

Tracklist:

Side-A: Heart Struck Sorrow (Boogaloosa Prayer)

75 copies released on orange creamsicle swirl colored vinyl

As the pressing run progressed from beginning to end the shade of orange changed slightly as seen in this picture:

The record comes with a insert.  The heart of the insert was an unofficial show poster hand distributed the night of the show by Tom Needham, which later became known as Broke or Made Better (BOMB), a popular Nashville show poster artist.
