GRIM007 - Oliver Richard - Triggerfish / Far From The Day

Front cover

About the release:

This 7” marks the first officially released recorded work by Oliver Richard. On the A-side we have ‘Triggerfish’, a revved up hairball of a song, hysterical and bizarre. On the B-side we have ‘Far from the Day’, a melancholic vortex of crepuscular guitar and vocals.

On the A-side we have ‘Triggerfish’, a revved up hairball of a song, hysterical and bizarre. On the B-side we have ‘Far from the Day’, a melancholic vortex of crepuscular guitar and vocals. Both songs were written especially for this Grimtale Records release. They were recorded and mixed at The House on the Hill, Scotland, across February 2013, mastered in April by Paul Gold of Salt Mastering, Brooklyn, New York, and pressed in October by Gotta Groove Records of Cleveland, Ohio.

This record is the second release from the Grimtale records Raw Series featuring raw recordings. All the records from this series share the same labels.

Band's bio:

Cutting his teeth on garage bands, piano strings, and chamber orchestras, Oliver Richard has cultivated a unique body of music where a bipolar electric guitar underpins muscular vocals and passionate lyricism. Uninterested in accommodating anything besides his gut instinct as a musician and songwriter, Richard hunts for a strange place where ugliness intersects beauty, where delicacy bleeds into brutality, and where the sacred meets the profane.
